Making the Most of the School Holidays

The holidays are the best time for bigger jobs that would disrupt lessons in term time. Alongside routine visits, we can quote for:

School Grounds Maintenance Contracts

Annual contracts

Most schools take an annual contract: a fixed schedule of visits, typically fortnightly from March to October and monthly over winter, for a set price paid monthly. The school business manager gets a fixed cost to budget against, and the site gets a team that knows it.

Trusts and multiple schools

We work directly with school business managers and multi-academy trusts. We can quote for one school or for several sites under one contract, with the same standard of work across each.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you work during the school day?

Yes, where the school is happy for us to. Most schools prefer mowing and other noisy work before pupils arrive, after they leave, or in the holidays, and we plan visits around that.

Are your staff DBS checked?

DBS-checked staff are available for school contracts, and we follow your sign-in and safeguarding procedures on every visit.

How do you handle weed control near children?

Treatments are carried out by PA1 and PA6 certified operatives outside pupil hours. Treated areas are signed and kept clear until dry, and product information is available for your records.

How often should school grounds be maintained?

Fortnightly visits from March to October and monthly visits over winter suit most schools, with extra visits before open days or the start of term if needed.

Do you quote for multi-academy trusts?

Yes. We can quote for a single school or for several schools under one contract.

Can you also do one-off holiday work?

Yes. Hedge reductions, clearing overgrown areas, path and hard surface repairs, fencing, turfing and new outdoor learning spaces can all be scheduled for the holidays.
